Mega Moolah jackpot passes $12 million milestone
Online casino games and software developer Microgaming has announced that the progressive jackpot tied to its Mega Moolah video slot recently surpassed the $12 million mark and is continuing to grow by the minute.
Prize could be hit at any time:
Isle of Man-headquartered Microgaming used an official Thursday press release to announce that the lucrative cash prize could be hit at any time with no limit to how high the eventual final payout could reach.
Record-breaking jackpots:
Available to play at numerous online casinos including VideoSlots.com, 32Red.com and MrGreen.com, the five-reel and 25-payline Mega Moolah was responsible for awarding British slots aficionado Jon Heywood with just over $16.92 million in October of 2015. This money-spinning prize was hit via Betway.com and earned Microgaming the Guinness World Records accolade for the ‘largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game’.
Microgaming declared that its safari-themed Mega Moolag slot is also responsible for the world’s largest progressive jackpot win on a mobile device after an unidentified Tipico.com player banked almost $9.25 million in April of last year.
The developer further stated that the Mega Moolah ‘made multiple millionaires at the start of 2018’ thanks to a series of payouts subsequent to awarding a pay-day of over $5.69 million in late-June.
‘Life-changing’ wins since 2006:
Microgaming explained that its extensive progressive jackpot network has paid out prizes totaling in excess of $1.04 billion since launching while the firm’s Chief Executive Officer, John Coleman, described Mega Moolah as ‘a millionaire maker’ that has been ‘awarding life-changing wins’ since being premiered in 2006.
Coleman’s statement read…
“We are proud to host the largest and most exciting progressive jackpot network in the industry and this is a particularly exciting time for our operators and their players. The jackpot is growing daily and it is only a matter of time before the mega jackpot is hit.”
